ZAHI HAWASS, the world's leading Egyptologist and former Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Monuments of Egypt, is organizing a lecture on Pharaoh Tutankhamun and his time in cooperation with the National Museum in Prague. Hawass' research and projects in the field of Saqqara continue to yield new insights and discoveries about the history of Egypt and the daily life of its inhabitants in the times of the great pharaohs, as well as the rulers themselves. In this lecture, Zahi Hawass will discuss advances in determining 18th Dynasty kinship, including the search for Tutankhamun's mother. Hawass's next mission remains the search for the final resting place of Nefertiti herself. The lecture will be followed by a book signing.
Books by Zahi Hawass will be available for purchase on site, with payment possible by cash or card.
The lecture will take place on 10 April at 6 pm in the lecture hall in the new building of the National Museum (former Federal Assembly, later Free Europe).
