Jon Bonamassa is an American blues-rock guitarist and singer hailing from New York, beginning his music career in the band Bloodline. He started releasing solo material in 2000, and hasn't looked back – receiving the Breakthrough Artist of the Year award from Classic Rock Magazine in 2009.
Bonamassa was always destined to be a musical man, having picked up the guitar at age four - just a couple of years later, he was bashing out Jimi Hendrix like the legend himself. Bonamassa soon joined Bloodline and was releasing and performing tracks with the likes of Foreigner and Eric Clapton
Since releasing his own debut solo album A New Day Yesterday, he's regularly touring the world and wowing audiences worldwide. Over the years, he topped the US Blues chart many a time - and soon became a prominent feature in the UK Albums chart.
