Zuzana Marková – soprano
Lukáš Klánský – piano
Guests: Emma Balunová – soprano, Vojtěch Pelka – countertenor, Ahmad Hedar - piano
We cordially invite you to the traditional Christmas concert of the Association of Friends of Musical Talents. This time, the excellent Czech soprano Zuzana Marková will be the star of the evening. This is the same soprano of whom a local critic has stated that she is the only Czech soprano "able to ignite an Italian fire". Marková's repertoire really revolves mainly around Italian operas: in the world competition she managed to establish herself as Gilda, Violetta, or Lucia di Lammermoor. She is a sought-after star in most Italian theaters (Venice, Florence, Genoa, Rome, Palermo, Naples, Turin), loved by audiences at the Paris Opera, the Vienna State Opera, the Berlin State Opera and Los Angeles. While Zuzana belongs to the young generation of opera "stars”, she, along with her husband conductor Giacomo Sagripanti, also dedicate their time and energy to supporting the youngest opera talents. At this concert, she will introduce two young students of Deyl's Conservatory to whom she is a great role model. Soprano Emma Balunová and countertenor Vojtěch Pelka will make their debuts that evening. Other students will support their mates in the audience. Lukáš Klánský, one of the greatest Czech pianists of his generation, and Ahmad Hedar, a sought-after accompanist and winner of the prize for excellent piano accompaniment at the Antonín Dvořák International Singing Competition in Karlovy Vary, will be the pianists of the evening.
