Czech version with music performed live by symphonic orchestra.
The live performance of the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra will bring the beloved
soundtracks to life on the stage of the historical Smetana Hall on 27 November 2022
(13:00 and 17:30). As the musicians perform in perfect synchronization with the movie
projected on a giant screen, with its dialogue and sound effects, the perfect acoustics of
the venue will make the soundtracks resonate like never before in Prague!
And to make this concert even cooler, Czech Diva, Michaela Štiková (Gemrotová) will
perform the Academy® Award winning Let It Go song which quickly became a
breakout song and sensation, sending an inspirational message to listeners.
In Frozen, the fearless optimist Anna sets off on an epic journey - teaming up with the
rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven - to find her sister Elsa,
whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter.
Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls, and a hilarious snowman named
Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.
Disney Frozen is a great opportunity to spend a magical evening with your favorite
characters and immerse yourself with your family in Disney’s fairy tale before
Christmas.

PRAGUE RADIO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
The Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra is one of the most illustrious Czech orchestras
today. Since the 2022–2023 season the roles of Chief Conductor and Artistic Director
have been filled by the Czech conductor Petr Popelka. Robert Jindra is the ensemble’s
Principal Guest Conductor.
During the 2022/23 concert season, PRSO will welcome the excellent violinists Frank
Peter Zimmermann and Patricia Kopatchinskaja. The pianists Jean-Efflam Bavouzet,
Benjamin Grosvenor and Nicolas Hodges, cellists Jean-Guihen Queyras and Daniel
Müller-Schott, and conductors John Axelrod, Sylvain Cambreling and Jessica Cottis
also accepted the invitation.
MICHAELA ŠTIKOVÁ
In 2014, Michaela Štiková (Gemrotová) won the main role of Christine Daaé in The
Phantom of the Opera, a world-renowned musical staged at the GOJA Music Hall in
Prague at that time. She also appeared in one of the principal roles in the Czech version
of Dance of the Vampires.
Her other performances include roles in musicals staged at Prague’s Broadway Theatre
and Hybernia Theatre, such as Tarzan, Angelika, The Man in the Iron Mask or
Casanova.
In 2019, she was nominated for a Thalia Award for her performance as Evita in A. L.
Webber’s Evita. The same year, she made her debut at the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Plzeň in
the title role of Elisabeth, another globally renowned musical.
Michaela cooperates with Czechia’s leading orchestras, such as the PRSO, Pardubice
Philharmonic, Budějovice Philharmonic and Hradec Králové Philharmonic. She
recorded for the Czech Radio, Italy Recording or Arts Master Studio.
Michaela Štiková’s primary domain is opera. She appeared in a number of roles on
stages in many European countries including Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia,
Bulgaria, France, Italy, England or Poland.
CONDUCTOR ERNST VAN TIEL
Ernst Van Tiel studied conducting with Franco Ferrara, Gary Bertini, Jean Fournet and
Lucas Vis. He conducted many orchestras, like Rotterdam Philharmonic, London
Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre National de Lyon,
Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, Russian National Orchestra, OBC Barcelona, La
Verdi Milano, Santa Cecilia Roma, 21CO etc.
With the Brussels Philharmonic, he recorded the original score for the film The Artist by
Ludovic Bource. Winning five Oscars, seven BAFTAs, three Golden Globes and six
César awards, with an award from each for Bource´s original composition, the film is
now touring internationally with a live orchestra, conducted by Ernst van Tiel.
As a specialist in film concerts with live orchestra, Ernst van Tiel is conducting most of
the great titles: Star Wars, Harry Potter, Vertigo, just to name a few.
PRAGUE MUNICIPAL HOUSE, SMETANA HALL
Prague Municipal House is a historical place in the heart or Prague, served as a Royal
Court palace and a house for King of Bohemia at the time, has hosted some of the most
prominent international music ensembles and performers since its opening in 1912,
including INXS music video shoot at the roof of the building for the group’s huge hit
“New Sensation”.
Smetana Hall represents the largest area of the Municipal House. The name of the
concert hall is Prague’s tribute to the creator of modern Czech music – Bedřich
Smetana.
