Ildar Abdrazakov has established himself as one of operas most sought-after basses. Since making his debut at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan in 2001 at 25, the Russian native has become a mainstay at leading houses worldwide, including New Yorks Metropolitan Opera, Paris National Opera, the Vienna State Opera and Munichs Bavarian State Opera. His powerful yet refined voice coupled with his compelling stage presence have prompted critics to hail him as a sensational bass … who has just about everything - imposing sound, beautiful legato, oodles of finesse (The Independent). Being also an active concert artist, he has performed at Londons BBC Proms and at New Yorks Carnegie Hall, as well as with leading international orchestras, including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Vienna Philharmonic.

The PKF - Prague Philharmonia was established in 1994 through the initiative of the conductor Jiří Bělohlávek. Today the PKF - Prague Philharmonia is one of the most highly respected chamber orchestras in the world. It plays 100 concerts a year, of which on average 35-40 are abroad. It contributes some 50 concerts a year to Prague cultural life. It has worked with prestigious record companies such as Deutsche Grammophon and Warner Classics. Since 2015-2016 season the orchestra has been led by the French conductor Emmanuel Villaume.
