The Tenor Petr Nekoranec is known mainly to audiences in Germany and the United States, as well as Brno where he portrayed the title role of Rossini’s less-known opera Le Comte Ory (premiere in May 2017). The two concerts the tenor gave in May and September 2017 at the New Town Hall, Prague were extremely well received; hence the thought of bringing him to a large concert scene in Prague was born. The thought will be fulfilled in June 2018 – Petr will perform at the Rudolfinum in a repertoire which is very close to him: the Italian Bel Canto arias, among others.
Petr Nekoranec is one of the most talented singers of today’s opera world; he received several prizes and awards, including the absolute winner of the Francesco Vinas International Singing Competition in Barcelona (January 2017). Between 2014 and 2016, he was a member of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, and its opera studio; as of September 2016 he’s been enrolled at the Metropolitan Opera Lindemann’s Program – as the first Czech who ever got accepted into this prestigious program. Petr Nekoranec graduated from the Pardubice Conservatory as a student of prof. Jarmila Chaloupková. At Rudolfinum, he will be accompanied by the renowned Italian pianist Vincenzo Scalera, piano partner to many famous singers, including Juan Diego Flórez.
